I discovered Banks Violette a couple of years ago and haven’t been able to put him out of my mind since. I find his work  poignant, emotive, beautiful and thought provoking. His pieces address disturbing acts of violence and tragedy in youth culture and  the nature of their origins. In short, his work embodies a sort of “elegant bad assery”.
